Deputy Fashion Editor, New York Post & Alexa. New York.

We might be the last people in the world to turn down glitter. We’ll take it in just about any form we can get, and would have sworn up and down we were all but the finish’s biggest advocates—at least, that was until we met Anahita Moussavian. As in, you would be extremely hard-pressed to find a single thing

in her closet that doesn"t have some element of sheen or sparkle (so much so that it’s even made it to her Instagram handle).

As the New York Post’s Deputy Fashion Editor, Moussavian’s day job is all about rolling racks of pretty things and an iCal stacked with a bajillion endless appointments to see and talk about said pretty things, but it wasn’t always that way—she got her start as a legal assistant. The way she tells it, she got her foot in the door by way of some particularly sage advice courtesy of her mom (isn’t mom advice always sage advice?). After a chance mishap with a paper shredder (not a gruesome one, or anything—just the kind that would send us into a crying jag given that it was 2 AM on a Saturday morning) convinced her the whole legal assistant thing was the wrong path, she hasn’t looked back since.
