Pond Behind Victorian House

You know the fish are spoiled when they come with their mouths open whenever anyone walks by. I do love fish. They can be very dear pets (or whatever you call outdoor ones):

I really like this fence separating the driveway from the back yard. I got a big idea for my own garden while admiring this one. They have a lot of roses started on the trellis. Note the size of the pillars for the arbour over the eating area (seen through the gate): Those 8×8’s are substantial and look great:

Besides having a giant two-storey coach house, they also have this gardening shed with a potting area on the side:

The barn boards of this shed blend in nicely with the era of the other buildings.

Here’s the potting area with an old stainless steel sink set into the table top:

Throughout the garden there are clever ideas for plant supports such as old garden tools, old tree branches stuck in the ground to allow various annuals to climb up them, and various wooden structures.

The raised beds are shaped in this pleasing formal pattern. At the top of this next photo is the giant compost area, nice and open for easy stirring. That thing that looks like a big strawberry on a stick is actually a giant metal carrot weather vane (it was cute):

Here’s the view from the back of the property. They have a lot of garden yet there’s still so much more untouched space. That’s the coach house on the left, the main house in the

middle, and the shed on the right:

The same way I keep all my broken garden tools as decorations, I may just do this with my wellies when they wear out:

Every so often on these garden tours we stumble upon The Dream Garden. This one is mine.
