Next was putting the top together, all the instruction of how to do this is listed on Ana Whites farmhouse table, DIY Pete.com... We stained with min-wax early American, then three coats of polyurethane.
Here"s a few picture"s of our finished table! The base we painted with yellow chalk paint then glazed with a dark brown wax. He also built a bench & we took a piece of foam & upholstered with a blue chevron pattern.
We added a few embellishments we painted blue, I love the cute detail it gave the table!
The two chairs we purchased at a restore for $25.00 & I painted blue then glazed with clear wax with just a splash of yellow, then I just took a little sand paper to age a little.
All the farmhouse table"s I had looked at for sale were around $2000 or more, the total cost for our table....are ya ready for this? ...$275 WHOOHOO!!!!
